AGM


  1. Members must wear their membership-card at all times in full view whilst on club premises.
  2. Members must sign in and pay the current range fee before shooting or fishing.
  3. BOAC Membership Fees are due 1st January each year to be paid for by the 31st January. Members who have not paid are not allowed to use BOAC facilities. (Current membership card required).
  4. No shooting at animals.
  5. No shooting at or deliberately damaging trees.
  6. No littering.
  7. No dogs allowed on the clubs premises
  8. Air rifles under 12ft/lb and air pistols under 6ft/lb and airgun ammunition only allowed on site
  9. BOAC shall be managed by the BOAC committee Members. A Quorum shall be a majority of the committee members, including at least one of the following, Chairperson, Secretary or Treasurer
  10. Failure to comply with these rules and/ or any unsafe behaviour may result in disciplinary action. The Committee may decide to revoke the person’s membership. The committee’s decision is final
  11. The right is reserved to refuse entry to any competition or to stop from shooting or fishing or to Enforce the departure from any part of the clubs premises any person or persons breaking the rule or any other reason without giving any reason or right of redress.
  12. All persons and their property including vehicles are present at their own risk.
  13. All airguns should be treated as loaded at all times. Always politely correct any unsafe practice you see – No Matter Who.
  14. All members must report any unsafe behavior to a BOAC committee member.
  15. No weapon should be pointed at any person, loaded or unloaded.
  16. When it is necessary to enter the target area a long single load blast on a whistle must be used. all shooters must cease fire and make their weapons safe. Only when all shooters have shouted “clear” can person (s) enter the target area. On returning to the safe firing point when no one is left in the firing area, TWO lowed blasts from the whistle must be given before shooting can commence.
  17. Always keep the airgun pointing down range, especially whilst loading.
  18. Never shoot from above or behind another person.
  19. No cocked or loaded guns when moving between firing points. (Were practical magazine out, barrel broken, bolt open etc.)
  20. When horses or pedestrians can be heard or seen down the lane it is courteous to cease firing,they are sensitive to the crack of airguns and the resonant noise made when pellets hit the metal targets
  21. No gun should ever be pointed in the direction of the lane. Think Safe
  22. DAWN until DUSK Shooting starts at dawn and finishes at Dusk, (local time).

Visitor Rules

  1. One visit only is allowed, which is the first visit (Sundays only, free of charge).
  2. All visitors must sign in whether shooting or not.
  3. Visitors who intend to shoot must pay the current visitor’s fee.
  4. Special Circumstances, consideration will be given in certain circumstances, i.e. visiting relatives etc. This does not exclude people coming to have a look or being invited to look by a member.
  5. NEW MEMBERS. Final decision of acceptance to be made by at least two committee members
  6. Application for membership can only be made on a Sunday between 100.hrs and 13.00hrs.

Junior Shooters

  1. Persons under 18 years can only have (family) membership.
  2. Persons 18 years and over are required to join as full members on the first January after reaching 18 years.
  3. Persons under 18 years are only permitted to shoot under the direct supervision of an adult over 21 years of age.
  4. Persons under 18 years are only allowed to shoot from the designated junior areas unless authorized by the committee.
  5. Persons under 18 are not allowed into the target area except at the discretion of the committee.
  6. Persons under the age of 14 shoot free. Above rules apply.

  • Please note: The club’s annual general meeting will take place on the 3rd Sunday in November at 10:30 every year at the range, Unless advertised otherwise on the notice board. Members only. All enquiries regarding specific rules should be directed to the committee.
USE OF THE BOAC FACILITIES.  NO “ DAY  TICKETS” OR “DAY  VISITORS” ARE ALLOWED FOR FISHING OR SHOOTING UNLESS PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE  (Special circumstances apply)
